Karen is fully committed to achieving 100% literacy within New Zealand. To this end, Karen is a trustee for the Literacy Education Trust and is the trust's current chairperson. The trust raises funds to enable people of all ages to access a revolutionary literacy remediation programme. This life-changing modern phonics programme has an incredible success rate, enabling previously illiterate or struggling children/adults to capably read, comprehend, write and spell.
